We camped in the desert with the few campers in the background of this picture.
Sunset over our home in the desert just a few miles west of Yuma.
Tuesday morning we drove just a few miles to Los Algodones, Mexico. We walked over the border and did a little shopping. We had margaritas and burritos in the sun on the patio before walking back.
The line waiting to leave Mexico with our inexpensive liquid refreshments was about one hour long. But the weather was beautiful and over half the people in line were Canadians and very fun to visit with.
Walking back across the border along the All American Canal, the border patrols are located at various vantage points doing their job.

We liked it in the desert, but decided to move in and park at the Quechan (quit-sawn) Casino, since we leave it unattended all day everyday to go sightseeing. This is only one half mile from where we went in Mexico and a few miles west of Yuma.
