As we left John's sister (after four weeks) we turned on the radio. There was a talk show on and the very first words we heard were, "house guests from hell". How is that for coincidence, just as Kathy was breathing a sigh of relief and saying "I thought they would never leave".
Down the grapevine to L.A. we saw hundreds of trucks again, if not more. It's hard to fathom how much merchandise must go in and out of the L.A. area everyday.
We arrived in Palm Springs late afternoon and turned on Bob Hope Drive to park in an almost empty lot across from the Aqua Calientes Casino. We will stay here for the next four days. There are nine cities in the Palm Springs area that all run together with a population of about 50,000 each.
There are 90 golf courses, 600 tennis courts and approximately 100 celebrity homes in the area. It's beautiful and we will be exploring for the next few days.
